technique:
1) set zoom lens to have the longest focal length
2) set camera on Manual mode
2) adjust settings to suit a long shutter. in this case it was 9 sec (but i think could have done it in shorter time)
3) once the shutter is released, zoom the lens - decrease the focal length - at a uniform speed until you reach the shortest focal length xD
i think i zoomed it twice (2nd time faster) coz i finished the 1st time in about 6 sec and i knew it would be open for another 3 sec and i didnt want the light to "clot" at one end, so i did it again just to make it more unified
