I am still on my long holiday (overseas) in china atm, and is currently experiencing alot of technical difficulties due to limitations of a stable processor and accuracy of uncalibrated monitor, slow internet connection speeds and such, one would like to excuse myself for not being able to update my DEV recently.

However, old photos must get old and new photos must be taken. So, the essence of my trip will be soon revealed to general public in time. I thank you all for patience (that is if you are or were ever waiting).

And that asside, now to a more positive note.
Every year passes by and every new year comes, and all around the globe it is ethical to at LEAST think a little, plan a little (just a little) of one's comings and goings of the coming year. Your question would be "Why is this bloke wasting my time? Get to your bloody point."

*And to my apologies, it IS 6:12am (GMT +8) at the moment...*

Anyways, without further speculation, I will present my resolution the rat year of 08 (not ranked in priority):

1) by early March, MUST find decent paying job

2) by April, MUST buy Canon EF-17-40mm F/4L USM

3) by mid December, MUST buy Canon EOS 5D (hopefully 5DmkII will be realeased by then, and price of 5D will plumet!)

4) excel in UNI

5) trip to New Zealand to visit someone important during xmas.

TOTAL QUOTA: min.$6000AUD

Until next time folks...
Over and out.

today is a sad day for myself, perhaps for all of us (at least so i hope?)

today is the day the HDD format crisis stroke and yes i am in no condition to celebrate my new ADSL 2+ connection.

for hours i have mourned.

and so a year's worth of memories, locked up (forever?)

and so thats that, 60GB worth of photography throughout 2007, totalling a trashed pool of 240GB of documents.

To BE a photographer, one must THINK like a photographer.

An ACTIVE photographer must THINK quick on feet, react with great speed and COMPOSE with incredible sensitivity.

I, today have proven myself failure to the above statement.

I am lacking skill and experience from the outside-real-world of photography. Photographing motion objects is more difficult than one would think. For one I must learn to deal with shutter lag.

Its difficult, but I'll keep practicing and some day - I'll get there =]

Have you realised that in DA, the more the digital manipulation of your work, the more ppl will notice it? Does that make digital manipulation greater than original photographs?

At the same time, many journalists have lots their jobs through photo editing.

I believe the original journalists are becoming more and more under-stated...
